Purpose of FIABCI
MISSION STATEMENT: The international Real Estate Federation exists to enable participants in the Real Estate Industry to improve the quality and competitiveness of their activities through the sharing of knowledge, information and business opportunities at a local, national, and international level and to serve the following purposes:
- To provide direct access to international real estate contacts and business opportunities.
- To help improve the working relationship between the public and private sectors for the benefit of the society.
- To facilitate the exchange of information on significant market, economic, corporate, governmental and technological conditions affecting the industry.
- To assist in cultural and educational exchanges among real estate professionals of different countries.
Who are the Members?
FIABCI is the forum for all the actors in the world real estate stage including:

FIABCI'S COMMITTEE
FIABCI's Committee Structure is divided into three Divisions:
1. The Administration Division, which consists of five "Internal" Committees
The Membership Committee implements the strategies and objectives given by the board concerning the federation's members.
The Conference Committee is responsible for advising the Board and General Assembly on matters related to special events organized by FIABCI Committees or Chapters, using the FIABCI name, involving members from more that two Chapters, assuring that they satisfy the policies and objectives of the Federation as defined by the Board and General Assembly.
The Finance Committee is responsible for advising the Board and General Assembly on matters related to the proper funding of FIABCI's activities, both currents and projected.
The Nominations Committee proposes to the General Assembly: nominations for World President and Deputy World Presidents; Elected Members of the Board; Presidents, Vice-Presidents and Secretaries General of the Specialist, Standing and Regional Committees, Vice-Presidents of the Internal Committees, permanent representatives of FIABCI with the United Nations Organisation.
The Young Members Committee is the only worldwide platform available to real estate professionals under the age of 35. Its purpose is to provide young real estate professionals with new contacts and privileged information to improve their business.

The International Organisations Committee monitors the work of FIABCI's representatives at important international bodies (including the United Nations and the European Union), ensuring that FIABCI policy is properly co-ordinated and carried out in a consistent manner by the different appointed delegates.
The Exchanges Committee plans and implements programmes to permit its members to travel to other countries, or to receive their colleagues from those countries, in order to experience first hand the methods utilized by real estate professionals abroad, and to participate in study programmes at University and other levels.
ß The Education Committee and the Academic Members Circle deal with real estate education and professional standards.
3. The Professional Division , which includes three committees concerned with activities designed to further the level of expertise of the real estate professional, to promote the sharing of experience among these same professionals, and to communicate business opportunities between them.
The Principal Members Council allows the national associations which are members of FIABCI to work together for their optimum benefit. The council is responsible for the professional programmes at FIABCI congresses.
The Marketing and Networking Committee is responsible for organizing the marketing sessions and the real estate panoramas which take place at FIABCI congresses.
The Forums Committee enable members to exchange information regarding educational, professional and business techniques, regulations, norms and new developments within their particular specialty, and provide an opportunity to share information with other FIABCI members and interested professionals throughout the world. There are five forums in the committee:
• Office-Industrial Property Forum
• Retail Property Forum
• Leisure Property Forum
• Residential Property Forum
• Rural Property Forum
The Strategic Planning Committee assists the Board in its planning activities.
