This annual joint undertaking with the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), along with its government shelter agencies, including the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-ibig Fund); Home Guaranty Corporation; Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board; National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation; National Housing Authority; and the Social Housing Finance Corporation, together with the private sector counterparts of real estate practitioners and professionals shall focus on the theme "KAALAMAN TUNGO SA MAUNLAD NA INDUSTRIYA NG LUPA AT PABAHAY". The theme resonates the government's program and reform-oriented policy initiatives for the next five (5) years , which is actually the association's response to the call of Pres. Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III for greater voluntary involvement and participation of the private sector to ensure a high level of corporate governance, equitable growth; and inclusionary gains in housing and the whole economy.

Vice President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chairperson Jejomar C. Binay announces the holding of the 6th Housing Fair from September 30 to October 2, 2011. The annual event will be held at the Mega Trade Hall 1 of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
The Housing Fair is a joint project of HUDCC, its member Key Shelter Agencies KSAs) and Government Financial Institutions (GFIs), namely the Pag-IBIG Fund, SSS, GSIS, Home Guaranty Corporation (HGC), Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), National Housing Authority (NHA), Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). These participating government agencies will showcase their acquired assets inventory of thousands of house and lot units located in different areas in Metro Manila and its environs.
Guided by the theme, “Gaganda ang Buhay sa Sariling Bahay,” Housing Fair 2011 aims to enable the Filipino public, particularly government and private employees, as well as families of OFWs, to lead better lives by acquiring their own housing units at affordable prices. This year’s fair further puts emphasis on housing ventures being eco-friendly and conscious of the environmental issues the world currently faces.
HUDCC and its members will also be joined by their partners from the private sector – Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations (CREBA), National Real Estate Association, Inc. (NREA), Organization of Socialized Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP), Subdivision and Housing Developers

The CREBA Tourism and Real Estate Congress serves to begin fusing Tourism into the Real Estate development concerns and priorities in an attempt to bring Tourism into the consciousness of CREBA members and other real estate industry stakeholders as the logical twin engine of growth of housing and real estate to rev up the Philippine economy.
With natural wonders, innate qualities of its people and a comprehensive government program, Philippine tourism is in a very good position to develop in accordance with global standards and to compete actively for a larger share of the global tourism market. The activeparticipation of the real estate industry will serve to help sustain this development.
The conference objectives could be more clearly stated and aligned with the objectives and provisions of RA 9593 or the National Tourism Act of 2009 and its IRR, as well as other current initiatives among major tourism industry practitioners, which include, among others:

PAREB 51ST NATIONAL CONVENTION

THE Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards Inc. (PAREB), in coordination with PAREB-Cebu, will hold its 51st annual national convention and election of officers on Oct. 6, 7 and 8 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.
The convention, with the theme “PAREB: Committed to professional excellence,” will have Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning, Housing and Resettlements, as the keynote speaker.
The senator will speak about the developments on the housing industry.
Eduardo Ong, chairman of the Philippine Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service, will discuss professionalization through integration of real estate service industry.
International speakers will present the practice of real estate in the Asean market.
They are Jeff Foo, immediate past president of the Institute of Estate Agents, Singapore; K Soma Sundram, immediate past president of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents; and Prof. Enrique Soriano, president of AA Real Estate (Advisory Asia) and faculty member of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
Other topics are the computerization of the records of the Land Registration Authority and the Register of Deeds and corporate formation and issues involving real estate.
The latest Multiple Listing Service will also be launched during the convention.
