What is NAR?
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is a Chicago-based association of some 1.2 Million Property Professionals including NAR's institutes, societies, and councils, involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
Founded in 1908, NAR also functions as a self-regulatory organization for real estate brokerage, with a vast network connecting 80 partner institutions in 60 countries around the globe.

Who can be Members of NAR in the Philippines?
As NAR enters a new age after a century in existence, it aims to expand its coverage by being the umbrella organization of all kinds of professionals engaged in real estate business and practice. This organizational framework positions CREBA well as NAR’s affiliate association in the Philippines.
Applicant must be a Filipino citizen and lives outside the United States. All applications from Filipino practitioners shall have to pass through CREBA.
Membership Fees
US$60 Dollars or Php2,700.00 for Individual Members, and US$500 or Php22,500 for Corporate Members. As a privilege for the first 1,000 Founding Members, the entry fee of US$35 has been waived.

- International REALTOR® Membership (IRM) is open to all Licensed Real Estate Service Practitioners (Real Estate Brokers, Appraisers, Consultants and Salespersons) under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), as set forth in R.A. 9646 or the Real Estate Service Act of 2009
- International REALTOR® Associate Membership (IRAM) is open to all PRC-Licensed Real Estate Salespersons registered under an IRM
- NAR Affiliate Individual Membership is open to all business professionals and entrepreneurs engaged in real estate business and development not covered as Real Estate Service Practitioners
- NAR Affiliate Corporate Membership is open to juridical entities engaged in real estate business and development, such as but not limited to, development companies, financial institutions, contractors, suppliers, construction or project management firms, and other providers of professional services, with a maximum of five (5) representatives who shall each be designated as either an IRM or NAR Affiliate, as the case may be.

Among its members are real estate developers, contractors, brokers, appraisers, financiers, supplies manufacturers and distributors, architects and urban planners, enginee rs, economists, and social scientists. It has more than 30 chapters spread out among all the regions of the Philippines, as well in the United States, London, and Asia.
CREBA – NAR PARTNERSHIP
Last January 27, 2011, NAR signed an agreement with the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders' Association Inc. (CREBA) designating the Chamber as its official cooperating association in the Philippines. The signing was held on the occasion of CREBA’s 38th induction ceremonies with NAR Director for Global Alliances Jeff Hornberger, CIPS, RCE, CREBA National President Charlie A. V. Gorayeb, CREBA chairman of the board Pedro C. Tario and NAR Presidential Liaison to the Philippines Asuncion "Shonee” Henry as signatories. Vice President Jejomar C. Binay, chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) witnessed the signing.
Real estate practitioners play a vital role in the social, political, economic development and progress of their respective countries. The NAR-CREBA cooperation shall exist to promote strict adherence to regulations and guidelines to uplift the standards of practitioners in the Philippines to make them globally competitive and at par with their counterparts in the international real estate community.
